La Trobe was turning 50 and was looking to reflect on it’s past. The Universities Alumni had many success stories and have been great influencers in the shaping of the Australia. A co-ordinated effort to reconnect with key individuals was planned and the production unit needed to be flexible to support that initiative.
Sixty seven interviews were conducted over an 11 month period. The interviews featured varied campus architecture with unique framing that became their signature look. It was important that the individuals personality was presented as part of the final edit. This was achieved but introducing an archival image at the mid point of the interview. These photos evoked some wonderful reflect responses. The University now has an extraordinary archive of interviews. It has been able to reconnect with many influencers who are now supporting the University as benefactors or with scholarships.
